The Standard We Build To
We build and review this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at Level AA. That is the level most commonly referenced in United States accessibility law and the one we hold our work to.
We are telling you our target and our current state honestly. We are not claiming a formal audit or a certificate, because we have not had one done.
What We Have Done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
- Body text, form labels, links and buttons meet the AA contrast minimums against our dark background.
- Photographs of our work carry descriptive alt text, so a screen reader can describe the repair.
- Every form field has a visible label, not just placeholder text that disappears when you type.
- Headings run in order, so you can navigate the page by structure.
- Animation and the photo viewer respect your system setting for reduced motion.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels, so the site is usable on a phone with gloves on.
Where We Know We Fall Short
The before and after comparison sliders on our service pages are operable by keyboard, but they are a visual comparison first. Where one appears, the surrounding text describes the repair it shows.
Our gallery photographs came from the shop floor at the resolution the cameras produced. Some of them are softer than we would like when enlarged.
Some small caption text still falls short of the AA contrast minimum: the numbered index labels beside the headline figures on the home page, and the carrier logo disclaimer under them. Both repeat information that is stated in full elsewhere on the same page, but they are on the list to fix.
Some pages link out to Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram and Yelp. We do not control how accessible those sites are.
